Aelwynn's Forest Sanctuary

He nodded sleepily and a few birds came and landed on him, "Go and keep an eye on her, make sure she is safe. If something is in her way let us know." At once the birds flew up into the sky.

Lathai nodded, pulling Aelwynn close and nuzzling her. "Rest, my friend. I will keep watch."

Aelwynn hugged closer to him in her sleep, clinging to the warmth he offered. She nuzzled against his chest, her skin cool to the touch, and her body hard like stone.

At once he fell into a deep sleep, dreaming of the words of many books and scrolls.

OOC: Okay, I just pictured Skalanis suddenly just falling over where he stood, snoring. "Night-night. *thud*"

Ooc: ^ Considering we both know Kevin, that is a very accurate assumption and representation.

Ic: Lathai stayed by her side, listening as closely as he could to the city below. Silently, he prayed that the gods would watch out for their friends, knowing that they had likely already arrived and knew not where they were.

Ooc: That's actually what I was thinking xD

A howl echoed through the city, at least a dozen howls answering it. More were-wolves were closing in. Fast.

Lathai rose instantly, eyes wide as he looked around, panicked. In his haste, he had left his own sword at home. He would have to fight with his body alone. He cursed, rousing both of his companions. "Aelwynn! I need my tunic! Get your armor on! Skalanis-" he turned to hum, dumping water on his head from a long-memorized spell. "Get up! The others are in trouble!"

Aelwynn quickly rose, the haste in his voice waking her more than the volume. She quickly buckled her way into her armor. She tossed him her pack, "I have a spare blade. It's a short sword, but it'll be better than nothing."

He bolted awake, able to feel the danger he readied himself for anything to come

He nodded his thanks to her, buttoning up his tunic and retrieving the sword before securing one of his packs to his back. It held some of their tonics as well as a few other things he had retrieved from his home. "Let's go." He said, casting a jump spell on them all before leaping from the cliff and bolting for the graveyard.

Radelia, if you can do anything from the grave... The plea was in vain, he knew, but it was made nonetheless.

He follows close behind, placing fire traps behind him. He looks at Fenris, "Would you like your sword to use flames?"

Aelwynn slid into her breastplate, but did not buckle it, knowing they ran short on time. She cast blessings on them all, a sort of courage filling their souls that was indescribable.

Lathai nodded, trusting his friend. "Do as you wish, I have faith in you. Gods be with us."

Ooc: To the graveyard!

He cast a quick spell on the sword so that its blade burned when it sliced.
