The Temple of Albiorix

She wanders around, grabbing two pots. She then finds the fountain, filling one of the pots with water and leaving the other empty. She heads back to Thadin. "Alright I this we're good...put what you've picked in this one..." She holds out the empty pot.

That'd in has quite a bit bye the time she comes back. He dumps it in the pot and dusts his hands off with a hurumph.

*She pours in a bit of water, grinding the leaves into the water and slowly making a thick paste. Once finished she scoops some of the goop into her hands, starting to cover her swords with it.

OOC: You keep changing tenses. Sometimes you're past, sometimes you're present. It's making my head hurt.

Thadin begins to smear the substance along both blades of his battle-axe. "Right! Lets go."

Arri nodded to him, swords at the ready. "We'll have to be careful. Gods know where the others are. We may not have Aelwynn or Skalanis to heal us immediately..."

Thadin nods grimly. He heads out of the building towards the graveyard.

Arri followed, gripping her swords tight, face set in a grim scowl.

Lathai pushed open the doors of the Chapel, feeling odd that he had to do so. In the City's days of glory, the doors were never closed, save to block out the vicious rains and winds of an oncoming storm. It felt so wrong, seeing the Temple in disarray and falling to pieces. He could only imagine the way it made Aelwynn feel to see it so old and in shambles. He smiled, realizing that she would feel home here.

"Leave the doors open." Albiorix spoke the words plainly, but a hint of sorrow was in his words. "I will have to let you into the catacombs before I depart. The door will not open without her hand. And she will be unconscious when I go, and unable to open it till she wakes."

Lathai nodded, pulling the doors to the wall until they 'locked' into place, smiling slightly because of such. "As you wish." He answered, lighting the various torches with the more permanent light spells he learned from the library. "We will restore it to its former glory, as we will the rest of the City, Albiorix."

He nodded, Alewynn's body making the movement he desired. "Very good. Come, let me show you the entrance." He walked over to the altar, resting his hand on the stone. A bright glow shone from Aelwynn's hand, unlike any she had ever cast herself. There was a sound like shifting stone behind the altar, as a passageway to the catacombs below opened up. "Now, I must take my leave." he began, though he lingered a bit, fond of the way it felt to have a physical body.

Lathai nodded, "Forgive me for this, I do not wish for her to fall." With that, he lifted her body into his arms, wanting very much to nuzzle and kiss her but knowing that such was inappropriate under the current circumstances. "I will protect her. Always."

Albiorix smiled, an odd expression for him, even on Aelwynn's face, then the light faded and her body went limp, eyes drifting closed. Her body blazed with heat, far more than what she had been on previous occasions, enough to blister the skin.

His eyes went wide briefly, but he had grown accustomed to this and immediately summoned water to drop over her skin. He would need to remove her armor when they were safe inside the catacombs, and everyone would need theirs repaired and improved. With a sigh, he nuzzled her, bringing her down the stairwell as quickly as could be managed, not even considering how difficult it may be for the humans to take the steps.

The water cooled her skin but she did not wake.

Arri followed, staying close behind, though careful not to fall and trip into them. She was still amazed by what had happened, and was trying to process everything.

Eloen entered the chapel, sighing softly. "I hope we don't stay here long. This is...sacred ground..."

He walked ahead looking back at her, "we will stay here as long as we need to. Plus we are close to the library." He smiled expectantly.

Lathai looked back as he heard them enter, smiling and calling up to them. "All is well!" He said, "Come join us. It is the safest place for us to stay for the night. The moon only makes them stronger, and the blessings of the Temple protect us. There is much to tell you."

Eloen headed for the catacombs and suddenly stopped. She turned to Skalanis and smiled lightly. "Would you to travel another way?"

He smiled like a small child, "I was hoping to be able to travel like that again. It would be most interesting to see everything black and white again."

Lathai lead them down to an open area of the catacombs, laying Aelwynn on what used to be her bed while they were in hiding. He blinked in the darkness, casting the spells around once more to help the humans, though he made sure to leave some shadows for the gypsy. She loved her way of travel, and he knew this.

She walked back to him, taking his hand very tightly and took a deep breath. They sunk quickly into the darkness of the floor, finding themselves in a mirror version of the temple, though like always it was black and white. She smiled wider. "Here we are...."
