Patrol of the Knight-Commander

The crowd cheered and dispersed, leaving a few straggling patrons, the owner, and Isolde. The owner handed him a sack with 75 gold in it, "Folks will pay good money if you care to come back. Eat all you please, ser, and have a room tonight. On the house."

"And a bath?" He booms, shooting a glare at the pungent dwarf

The innkeeper nodded, "But of course, ser!"

"Where did you find him anyways?" He says jerking his head her way

"Oh, Olga? Her father was a miner who had some debts to pay. Olga helped him pay them. Spunky lass, ain't she?" He chuckled, sweeping the floor.

His mouth was gaping momentarily [thats a woman?!]
"Right, well ill be going to my room then.

The innkeeper nodded, "Aye, ser. I greet yes come sunup."

Isolde exhaled. Though burly and unkempt, this fellow didn't seem to be here to cause trouble. She stepped outside the inn, continuing her patrol.

As she rounds a corner, Arriana catches sight of Isolde. She immediately bolts back around the corner, pressing up against the wall. Oh, not now not now not now....

Isolde didn't notice anything, continuing her patrol, unknowingly walking right towards Arriana.

Arriana, too busy freaking out, doesn't pay attention. She remains pressed close against the wall, eyes shut tight.

Isolde rounds the corner, "Squire? What are you doing out so late? I'd hate to have to report you to your Lord for shenanigans in this part of town."

Arriana bows low. "For give me, Knight Commander. I was simply on my own rounds. I meant no disrespect, and I assure you, no shenanigans...."

Isolde nodded. The girl didn't appear intoxicated, which was good enough for her. "I wasn't aware you registered for a patrol tonight. I must have been misinformed."

Arriana nods quickly. "Sorry, ma'am. It was last second..."

Isolde nodded, "Best stick with me. This part of town can be very dangerous for someone as young as yourself."

Arriana blushes, saluting. "Y-Yes ma'am. I'll follow you, ma'am...."

Isolde nodded, continuing her patrol, "Tell me, squire. What is your name?"

Arriana stays just a few steps behind her. "Arriana, ma'am. Arriana Corner."

Isolde bowed her head lightly, "Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Arriana. Where are you from?"

Arriana keeps her eyes on the ground. "I'm from just outside the city....nothing special..."

"There's plenty special outside the city. I much prefer rolling hills and lush forest to cobblestone and sewer smell any day." she mused.

Arriana smiles lightly, still looking at the ground. "I suppose that's true...."

Isolde nodded, "There was one village I visited once. Had a bit of a bandit problem we took care of, but it was gorgeous. A big willow tree grew over the center of town. The children would play it in. I myself was little more than a child as well, and I wanted to play in that tree quite badly."

Arriana stays behind her. "What did you do, ma'am?"
