He rolled his eyes, sticking his tongue out in a disgusted look, "When that day comes, you can shave me bald."

Mairi burst into laughter. "You would rather be caught dead." She looked at him, brow raised. "Are you going to help wi the boar or not?"

He exhaled a sigh, squirming to get out from under the tiny table, "Gimme a second to try not to break this one..."

"Hikaru no longer cares. We use the pieces for firewood now." She giggled to herself, "Just hurry up before my chicken decides to run into the main room again. She's a little uncoordinated."

Kazuki eventually crawled out from under the table, muttering and cursing to himself, "Why do they have to be so tiny..."

"Because Hikaru has thin legs." She said, setting the jars down and pulling things from the cabinets. "The bulkiest person in this house on a regular basis is Tatsuo, and you know how he's aged. There's no need for a large table."

"As long as that's not all that's tiny on the poor lizard..." he muttered, brushing his legs.

Mairi glared back at him, "if you refer to what I think, the answer is no, though that is none of your concern." She lit a spark in her hand, blowing it at him though it consumed nothing. "Pyromancy has a way of ending badly for clothing."

"Sure. That's what it is." he rolled his eyes.

She sighed, shaking her head. "I do not understand what is with you lot and thinking that we have sex. I do not even understand the appeal of it. Skalanis has thrown dozens of books my way and I still do not get it..."

"You'll change when you've tried it. So I'm told anyways." he shrugged.

She shook her head once more. "That is not my intention, at least not at this time." She gestured towards the ice box. "Shall we begin the skinning and carving...?"

He pulled a knife from his belt, "Sit back, princess, I'll get it."

Her eyes narrowed. "Not a princess." She emphasized, blowing fire at the blade to heat it for him.

"Bite me, princess." he muttered, pulling the boar from the chest and skinning it.

She smirked, winking at him. "Now, wouldn't you like that?" She shook her head and went over to the corner counter, however, pulling herself up and sitting on it as she waited.

He grunted, rolling his eyes, pieces of flesh laying at his side.

"No response?" She asked, laughing to herself. "Saving the flirting for the little angel that's destined to steal you away?"

Kazuki looked up, gesturing to the boar with the knife, blood splattered on his face, "Do you mind?"

"No." She said, grinning from ear to ear as she kicked her feet. "I'm sooo sorry, do you?"

"Yes, actually." he complained, "I need to focus or I'll tear the skin..."

Mairi laughed, "Then continue. I'll be outside with my fiddle." She hopped down, leaving the room, her bare feet making soft pitter-patter noises across the floor.

Kazuki groaned, muttering to himself as he finished skinning the beast.

Mairi was outside in a matter of minutes, dancing about with her string instrument, smiling to herself as she played.

After he finished, sectioning the meat off into pieces, and putting it away before he wandered out, covered in blood, "Where can I clean off?"
