Physical Description: Ayrik used to be a very handsome young pirate, but a gruesome attack by a hag lost him his right eye and right ear. He keeps that side of his face covered by a dark blue bandana, but claw marks down his jaw and neck hint at the damage under the bandana. He also has many burn scars on his arms and chest, the worst of which running from his left collarbone to his navel, a wound from a strange fiery blade given to him by a bounty hunter who was after an old sorcerer friend of his. Ayrik is a handsome, albeit a little rugged-looking, pirate. A black tattoo of a winged serpent wrapped around a harpoon adorns his right shoulder.
External Conflict: Likes to drink and speak his negative views of the Marcher Lords within earshot of their outriders. Usually bears a bruise or two because of it.
External Motivation: Wants to see the Marcher Lords unseated from power and the old elven kings reinstated.
Internal Conflict: To drink or not to drink? That is the question.
Internal Motivation: Ayrik wants to find an old companion of his, a knight by the name of Aelwynn, who, along with a few others who Ayrik used to consider friends, left him to be killed by the hag from whom he got his scars. Ayrik wants to find out why they did not help him and why Aelwynn allowed a very strong-willed cleric to make Ayrik bleed out instead of saving him. Ayrik secretly wants to find a quiet place to settle down, but knows his jaded past won't allow it.
Education: None, but has learned much from years of doing odd jobs.
Skills/Talents: Very deadly with his weapon of choice, a trident made of blue steel, forged to look like coral. Ayrik is also a very talented seaman.
Weaknesses/Faults: Very quick to make decisions, brash. Doesn't know when to count his losses.
Fears/Phobias: Teeth and claws in the darkness.
Traits: Witty, Charming.
Current Residence: High Phelan.
Previous Residence(s): Born on a small farm on an island to the east of Parthalan. Moved to the Isle of Darmaid and worked at a sea-port a few miles from Driscoll.

History: Has moved from job to job, everything from sailor to sellsword. Doesn't like ti stay in one place for too long.
Family: None in Parthalan. All that he had he left behind at a young age.
